Un centenar de trabajadores públicos del Estado se ha concentrado este viernes a las puertas de los Juzgados de Ibiza para exigir al Gobierno que actualice de una vez por todas la indemnización por residencia, más conocida como plus de insularidad. Convocados por la plataforma Insularidad Digna, que agrupa a todos los sindicatos y asociaciones que representan a estos funcionarios, los trabajadores estatales han mostrado en Ibiza su hartazgo ante una situación cada vez más desesperada. Fernando Martorell, portavoz de la plataforma y representante de UGT, ha explicado que estas movilizaciones se están llevando a cabo cada viernes en todas las islas desde hace semanas. Esta jornada ha tocado en Ibiza, el «epicentro» del problema y dónde más consecuencias está teniendo el hecho de que el Gobierno siga sin actualizar el plus de insularidad pues la fuga de funcionarios estatales y las dificultades para poder completar las plantillas son una constante. It is worth to remember that on the May 30th, this town already reached 34 degrees, making it the place hottest place in the whole month of May in the Balearic Islands. The next two places where the highest temperatures were recorded on Wednesday were Binissalem (Mallorca), with 36.2 degrees, and Cala Galdana (Menorca), with 33.6 degrees.
