- An off-duty agent recognises thieves wanted for a multitude of thefts at Ibiza airport
An off-duty Guardia Civil agent recognised two men wanted for allegedly committing several theft offences at Ibiza Airport, leading to their arrest. According to the Armed Forces, on June 26th, an agent assigned to the main post in Sant Josep was enjoying her day off in a cove in the municipality when she noticed two men acting suspiciously. Disguised as bathers, they were observed to be keeping an eye on the belongings of the other bathers. On approaching, the Civil Guard realised that these were two criminals wanted for a multitude of careless thefts at Ibiza airport. They immediately notified the on-duty patrols and the ROCA Team, who verified that the two men, aged 40 and of North African origin, were indeed the individuals wanted for their involvement in an itinerant gang dedicated to robberies and thefts. These two arrests have helped to clear up several criminal acts, with the stolen objects amounting to approximately 10,000 euros in value. Some of the stolen items have been recovered and returned to - British DJ to cycle from Birmingham to Ibiza for a good cause
British DJ Andy Gulch will set off on his charity adventure to Ibiza on Thursday 10th July. Gulch will be cycling from Birmingham to raise money for Birmingham Children's Hospital and Charity and The Albion Foundation, for which he aims to raise more than 23,000 euros on this unusual trip. The British DJ, who has more than 10 years experience in the industry, will cycle to Ibiza over the course of 40 days while mixing music on his bike. He says on his donation page that he is trying to become «the first man to cycle and DJ from the UK to Ibiza». Donations can be made via the page. Recently, another Briton, Henry Oscar Moores, also from the UK, undertook his second solidarity feat with the island of Ibiza as his final destination. Although their journeys are different, as this last time Moores walked from Manchester to the island of Ibiza wearing flip-flops, the objectives of the Britons are the same: to raise funds for a good cause. - Almost total eviction of the caravan settlement in Es Gorg
The caravan settlement at the Es Gorg car park in Ibiza was practically dismantled on Monday, after several days of staggered departures by the occupants. Between last weekend and Sunday night, the vast majority of caravans and vans left the site, where until a few days ago more than a hundred people lived, many of them temporary workers and residents without access to housing. At 7 a.m., the deadline set by the City Council for the voluntary eviction, only a dozen vehicles and about five tents remained in the car park. The eviction operation was attended by members of the Ibiza Local Police, the National Police and members of the municipal Social Services, who came to offer help to the most vulnerable people and to control possible incidents. The City Council gave the residents of the settlement next to the Can Misses facilities a week's notice to leave, in order to begin work on the Low Exigency Centre — a social resource for the homeless and extremely vulnerable. This decision has caused controversy, as th - Urtasun i Alacant
This Sunday, Es Paradis celebrated its 50th anniversary with a memorable party that paid tribute to its founders: José Manuel Aguirre (known as Pepe) and architect Lluís Güell, who played a key role in designing the club's iconic features, particularly the central dance floor and spectacular decorations. From Saturday night until midday on Sunday, the iconic Sant Antoni venue hosted thirteen hours of non-stop music, dance and tradition, uniting generations of clubbers, artists and locals in a vibrant, festive setting. History The programme reviewed the club's history over the last five decades, exploring everything from classic electronic sounds to contemporary offerings, and highlighting the themed events that have helped to maintain its innovative spirit. As every summer, one of the most anticipated moments was the daytime Water Party, which brought families and residents together around the central pool, in an open and popular atmosphere reminiscent of Pepe's legendary parties, with water pistols and sai
